Daniel Bogdanovic released by Mosta FC

Mosta FC yesterday released their international striker Daniel Bogdanovic.

The Blues had signed the former Sheffield United, Blackpool and Rochdale player last summer and is leaving despite being one of the leading scorers of the club this season.

Bogdanovic is expected to move back to England where he is expected to join a Championship side till the end of the season. The team is still unknown at this stage.

And after losing Luke Dimech to champions Valletta FC, Mosta are now almost certain of signing central defender Tyrone Farrugia from Floriana FC as the former’s replacement. The transfer is expected to be concluded this week.

Mosta also remain in the news as everyone is awaiting international goalkeeper Justin Haber to take a decision on whether to move to current joint leaders Birkirkara FC. The two clubs are reported to have already reached an agreement over his transfer.

Meanwhile, it was also learned yesterday that Hamrun Spartans had signed French player Loic Lumbilla who should be able to make his debut for the struggling Spartans in next Sunday’s match against Rabat Ajax.

Other rumours included the imminent signing on loan till the end of the season by Sliema of Valletta’s utility striker Ian Zammit.
