Labour leader meets Enemalta employees behind closed doors

Malta Independent Wednesday, 16 January 2013, 20:33 Last update: about 11 years ago

Labour leader Joseph Muscat on Wednesday evening met Enemalta employees at the Rialto Hall in Cospicua. The meeting was not open to the press, and Enemalta employees were informed about it through an invitation sent by post.

Sources said that during the meeting, the PL made a presentation about its proposal to lower utility tariffs, as well as assured them that their job will not be under threat if Labour is elected to government.

Upon his arrival Dr Muscat was rushed through to the meeting and refused to give any comments.

Some minutes earlier Labour MP Karmenu Vella told The Malta Independent that the aim is to keep Enemalta employees updated about the latest developments, and the party's plans.
