Couple shares experiences on how to build strong relationships

Malta Independent Friday, 1 February 2013, 15:05 Last update: about 10 years ago

Couples can strengthen their relationship and have some fun in the process by developing vital communication skills, according to Julian and Joanna Sant Fournier.

This initiative launched  last October is run by Mr and Mrs Sant Fournier on a voluntary basis thanks to the support of various local organisations, including Bank of Valletta. The idea is based on a set of cards split into four stages (feelings, bad moves, good moves and making up) which help couples discuss and resolve differences by giving hints for all the stages of the process.

Couple Cards suggest ways on how couples can be sincere, share feelings and on choosing the right moment to discuss confrontational issues, giving each other another chance and settling the matter with a win/win attitude.

Mr and Mrs Sant Fournier recently shared their experiences with Bank of Valletta employees and their partners, who were each given a free set of “Couples Cards”.

The BOV Training Centre is encouraging other BOV employees and their partners to discover how direct and honest communication could build a stronger relationship.

Further information can be obtained from the Couple Cards website www.couplecards.com or facebook page www.facebook.com/CoupleCards
