Law Firm Fenech Farrugia Fiott Legal (FFF Legal) has announced important new senior appointments within its fold, coinciding with the new year.
Dr. Katia Mercieca, previously a Senior Associate, is now partner in the litigation department as from the beginning of 2013. Dr. Mercieca has been practicing as a lawyer since early 2004, building significant experience in civil and commerical litigation. She has also throughout this time developed a substantial interest in family law matters. Dr. Christian Farrugia, joint managing partner of the firm, who has worked closely with Dr. Mercieca for over 8 years, praised her dedication and professionalism, saying “Dr. Mercieca will bring more dedicated leadership impetus to our growing litigation practice, at a time of growing realization that recourse to the courts should be carefully managed and directed, if clients are to feel that justice is being served well”. The other partners of the firm are Dr Tonio Fenech and Dr Damien Fiott.
Dr. Antoine Fiott, who currently serves as deputy Chairman of the Malta Stock Exchange, and who has been active as partner of the firm since inception until his recent retirement, has accepted the post of non-executive Chairman of the Firm as from the beginning of the year. “FFF Legal is built on expertise and integrity, and it has developed through vision and courageous leadership. I am proud to have this opportunity to continue to form part of this firm,” commented Dr Fiott on this new appointment.
Dr Antoine Fiott and Dr Austin Sammut have been appointed senior consultants, making available their experience and expertise to the Firm as well as its clients, as part of the regular intellectual resources of the Firm.
