Vacancies in Church schools

A total of 153 boys applied for the Church’s first year in primary education, and there were 387 vacancies, leaving 234 vacancies. The applicants were made up of 85 who were brothers, 15 children of Church school employees, one transfer between schools of the same congregation, 40 from schools which do not have continuity, and 12 children of the first criterion who applied as humanitarian cases.

For the girls’ first year primary 117 applied, leaving 157 vacancies. 34 were sisters, five children of Church school employees, seven transfers between schools of the same congragation, 66 from schools which do not have continuity, and five children of the first criterion who applied as humanitarian cases.

In kindergarten second year, it was pointed out that St Angela kindergarten of Valletta will be closing at the end of the present scholastic year. The children at the kindergarten’s first year will be attending other St Angela kindergartens.

In the second year for boys’ kindergartens, there were 24 appliations – 12 as brothers, five children of Church school employees, five transfers between schools of the same congregation, and two who applied as humanitarian cases. There are 94 vacancies.

In the second kindergarten year for girls, 116 applied, two children from Church homes, 89 as sisters, 16 children of Church school employees, eight transfers between schools of the same congregation, and one as a humanitarian case. There are 165 vacancies.
