Malta Independent Wednesday, 6 February 2013, 11:12 Last update: about 11 years ago

Bank of Valletta's Jeans  Day in aid of Hospice Malta  on February 1st was well received. BoV staff participated wholeheartedly, with each employee in casual clothing making a donation. Employees also encouraged customers to join in the fund-raising initiative in aid of worthy causes supported by Hospice Movement Malta.

The jeans day is in line with Bank of Valletta’s commitment towards supporting worthy initiatives within the community where it operates. In effect the Group has a track record of involvement in aid of many significant philanthropic and cultural activities.

The initiative to hold a jeans day was another way for Bank of Valletta  Group employees to express their support and create greater awareness amongst staff and clients alike, on the importance of solidarity, for those in need.

The Malta Hospice Movement is today caring for over 900 patients and their families. Most of their  patients have cancer while a small number have motor neurone disease and respiratory disease. They come from all over the Maltese Islands.

Their services to patients and their families are all free of charge. They welcome everyone and value them as unique individuals, whatever their race, religion or lifestyle.
