The FIMBank Group has announced the appointment of Alessandro Bertoldo as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Factoring activities. Alessandro, who boasts extensive experience in factoring and trade finance in Italy and beyond, joins FIMBank from the Italian Unicredit Group, where for the last two years he had held the position of Head of Trade Management in the Global Transaction Banking Department. Within the UniCredit Group, he previously also served for two years as Chief Executive Officer of FactorBank AG, based in Vienna, and for eight years as Head of International Development of UniCredit Factoring, in Milan.

Alessandro was educated in Italy, reading for his university degree in Political Sciences, specialising in International Economics, at the University of Padua. He has been participating regularly as a speaker in conferences and seminars focusing on factoring, trade finance and supply chain finance, both in Italy as well as in other countries. Alessandro has also written articles for specialist magazines and is the co-author of a ‘Guide to Trade Finance’ published by the Italian newspaper ‘Il Sole 24 Ore’.
