Tony Meilaq has been appointed chairman of the Water Services Corporation.  This was confirmed to The Malta Independent online by the Ministry of Energy.

Mr Meilaq had served as chairman of Telemalta (which later became Maltacom and eventually GO), during the Labour administration headed by former Prime Minister Alfred Sant between 1996 and 1998.

According to our sources the members of the WSC board are Saviour Zammit (vice chairman), John Abela, Kevin Decesare, Robert Borg, Silvio Falzon, Nikita Zammit Alamango, Jimmy Magro and Louis Gatt.
