Miss Malta, the prestigious beauty contest, enters its 50th year with a bang! The contest was established in 1963 by the late George & Deggie Gatt Mangion as GM Productions.

Over the years, the contest gave an opportunity to some 980 participants to show off their inner and outer beauty locally and abroad through representing Malta at International Beauty Contests around the World.

This 50th Edition is under the Exclusive Management of Studioseven Productions who took over the complete organization of the event with the aim to rebrand it and give it a new and complete makeover.

Studioseven Productions are teaming up with business partners to make this year’s edition truly successful. The production will present the 16 finalists during a weekly entertainment TV show which will be held from various squares around the Maltese Islands. This show will be aired live on ONE TV every Monday as of the 15th July, 2013 between 20.30hrs to 23.00hrs and will be spread over the summer months with a grand finale night in September that will see the crowning of Miss Malta 2013/2014. The winner will be sent to participate in the renowned Miss Intercontinental Beauty pageant.

The selection of the contestants as well as coaching and guidance on personal appearance and good looks are entrusted to popular Fashion Stylist Marisa Grima. The official Makeup Artist shall be Shasha. Hair will be entrusted to the popular International brand SCREEN. The base camp of the luxurious Grand Hotel Excelsior. Throughout the three month journey, the contestants will be enjoying a journey of personal pampering courtesy of Transforma Beauty Clinic.
