Video: PM support to Maltese working in EU institutions

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat pledged his support to the Maltese community working in the various EU institutions in Brussels and Luxembourg.

Dr Muscat was speaking during a gathering held on Tuesday evening at Dar Malta in Brussels, on the eve of the EU summit in which energy and tax evasion will be on the agenda.

In a brief address Dr Muscat who was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Louis Grech, said that government is committed to strengthen the network within the Maltese community.

The prime minister who is well acquainted with life in the EU institutions following his four year spell as an MEP between 2004 and 2008 when he became Labour leader, said that the highlight in the coming years will be the 2017 Presidency. Dr Muscat said that the country can only rise to this challenge if it is united
