The General Workers’ Union has described the new Arriva work rosters set to enter into force next Sunday as ‘inhumane’.

In statement the GWU condemned Arriva accusing it of creating unnecessary hardship for Arriva employees whilst accusing it of issuing these rosters with no consultation.

As a result the dispute has now been referred to the Director of Industrial Relations, Noel Vella, with the first conciliatory meeting set for Thursday at 10.30am. The GWU urged the transport company to suspend these rosters or else face industrial action.
