New CEO for WasteServ Malta Ltd

The WasteServ Malta Ltd. Board of Directors has accepted the resignation of CEO Saviour Abela.  It has unanimously approved the appointment of Ing. Jonathan Scerri, an electrical engineer, as the new Chief Executive Officer who will assume responsibility with immediate effect.

Ing. Scerri, 38, has graduated in Electrical Engineering in 1996 and has recently obtained his Masters of Science in Renewable Energy Technology from Loughborough University.

He has over 16 years experience in technical and leadership roles, particularly in plant operations, within both the public and private sectors.  He has worked in the fields of electricity generation and distribution for nine years and joins WasteServ Malta Ltd. after eight years in managerial positions within the manufacturing industry.
