Nationalist Party former treasurer Peter Darmanin has kick-started an online petition on his Facebook page, through petition site change.org for the PN headquarters in Pieta to eventually host a restaurant within its premises.

He wrote: “This outlet will provide not only a meeting place for staff and outsiders but it might prove to be a hub where ideas are shared and promoted.”

A few weeks after the general election, a temporary coffee shop opened on the ground floor of the party headquarters.

Mr Darmaninin is urging the public to sign the petition titled ‘Dr Simon Busuttil, leader of the Nationalist Party: A Restaurant at the party’s headquarters as planned’.

The petition has garnered over 30 signatures.
