A vehicle and an bendy bus were both destroyed by fire in separate incidents in the past hours.

At around 1915hrs, the Police was informed that in the vicinity of the National football ground in Ta' Qali a vehicle was ablaze.

On this information the Police went immediately on site and after preliminary investigations it resulted that a vehicle -a Toyota caught fire.  Members from the Civil Protection were called on site and extinguished the fire.  Another vehicle of make Skoda was also damaged due to the fire.

Duty Magistrate was informed about this case and appointed several experts to assist him in the inquiry. 

The bendy bus caught fire at 12.45am in Qormi Road, Marsa. Members of the police and civil protection were on site to control the fire and ensure safety. Nobody was injured but damage was caused to the Maltapost centre in the vicinity.
