A second bendy bus was destroyed by fire Sunday evening in Mellieha – after a first had suffered a similar fate 24 hours earlier in Marsa.

The fire in Mellieha developed as the bus was being driven downhill on the main road.

No one was injured but the rear of the bus was gutted.

This was the second incident involving a bendy bus in less than 24 hours. In Marsa, the vehicle was completely destroyed and caused damage to Maltapost vans parked where the accident took place.
