Dr Ing. Philip Farrugia presented the paper titled "A Training Strategy for Managing Distributed Conceptual Design Work" at the 19th International Conference on Engineering Design held recently in Seoul, South Korea.

The paper received the reviewers' favourite award, meaning that it was rated in the top 10% papers out of over 340 papers which were accepted for publication in the ICED13 proceedings.

The paper has been authored together with Prof. Ing. Jonathan Borg from the University of Malta and Dr Andrew Wodehouse and Dr Hilary Grierson from the University of Strathclyde in UK.

This paper reviews how sketching can support distributed design teams in the early phases of concept design.
