PN HQ to have coffee shop, not restaurant

Malta Independent Monday, 2 September 2013, 10:29 Last update: about 12 years ago

The Nationalist Party has issued a call for proposals for a day-to-day running of a coffee shop at Dar Centrali in Pieta. The contract being offered will be for a five-year period.

This call, published in the PN’s newspapers, follows former PN treasurer Peter Darmanin’s proposal on his Facebook page earlier this summer to open a restaurant at the Nationalist Party’s headquarters.

It won’t be a restaurant, but it’s something very close to it.

The party had set up a temporary coffee shop during a marathon fund-raiser held after the March general election – an initiative which was welcomed by a number of PN supporters and prompted the suggestion for a more permanent solution.

The call states that those interested should have at least three years experience in the catering industry accompanied with a good track record and the ability to promote and organise similar ideas.

Documents specifying what is required may be collected from the PN headquarters’ reception desk between today and 25 September against a fee of 50 euros.
