Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi said today that it’s highly probable that Malta can buy oil products from Libya at preferential rates as from the beginning of next year.
He was speaking during an interview on the State TV programme Persjani.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat announced that Malta is set to buy oil products from Libya at preferential rates “in the very near future”.
The agreement had been signed by Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and his Libyan counterpart, Oil and Gas Minister Abdulbari Arousi, following talks which also involved the two countries’ prime ministers and other members of the Libyan and Maltese Cabinets.
