Major neuroscience international conference at the university

The Malta Physiological Society, together with the Malta Chamber of Scientists, the University of Malta, MCST and European Cooperation in Science and Technology, is holding the fourth Neuroscience Day at the University of Malta.
This major neuroscience international conference will be held between 22-25 October at the University of Malta Valletta campus, under the patronage of the University of Malta and the Malta Chamber of Scientists. COST is managed in Malta by the Malta Council for Science and Technology.

More than 40 internationally known scientists from 24 European countries and the USA, will discuss a wide range of neuropathological topics with a particular emphasis on structure-based drug design, and synthetic chemistry pharmacology leading to biological characterisation of new treatments for complex brain diseases such as anxiety and mood disorders, schizophrenia, autism-spectrum disorders, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and dementias.

The conference will be of particular interest to chemists, pharmacists, health care professionals, psychiatrists, neurologists, GPs, psychologists, community mental health teams, allied health professionals specialising in mental health and medical, pharmacology and chemical students, as well as all trainees in these disciplines.
