Television presenter Nirvana Azzopardi, a mother of two, died today losing her fight against breast cancer.
She was the co-founder of Teatru Unplugged in 1998 and hosted various television shows. Until recently she worked as a public relations officer with Enemalta.
She has been battling an aggressive and rare form of cancer for over two years and on Sunday 13 January a ‘Walk for Nirvana’ was held to raise funds.
She sought treatment both in Malta and abroad.
The funeral will be held on Friday at the St Julian's parish church at 2pm.
