Ryanair, Europe’s low fares airlines, today (9 Oct) celebrated Malta’s record August 200,000 passenger figures. From January to August 2013, over 1.1 million tourists visited Malta, an increase of 9%, while Ryanair carried over 750,000 passengers to Malta, an increase of over 17% compared to the same period in 2012.

Ryanair continues to invest in Malta and recently released its biggest ever winter schedule, with 20 destinations, including 3 new routes to Krakow, Liverpool and Milan.

Ryanair celebrated by releasing 100,000 seats across its European network, with prices starting from €14.99, for travel in November and December, which are available for booking on www.ryanair.com until midnight Thursday (10 Oct).

Ryanair’s Luis Fernández-Mellado said:

“In just over 7 years, Ryanair has carried over 4 million passengers to/from Malta, with visitors saving over €320m p.a. by switching to Ryanair’s low fares. This year we expect to carry over a million passengers, underlining Ryanair’s commitment to, and investment in, Malta.

Our Malta winter schedule features 20 routes to exciting destinations, including 3 new routes to Krakow, Liverpool and Milan, ensuring tourists can enjoy Malta thanks to Ryanair’s ultra-low fares and no fuel surcharges.

To celebrate, Ryanair is releasing 100,000 seats from just €14.99 which are now available for travel across Europe in Nov and Dec. Since seats at this crazy low price will be snapped up quickly, we urge passengers to book them immediately on www.ryanair.com.”
