Speaker of the House of Representatives Anglu Farrugia is currently in Azerbaijan as an observer in the presidential election which is underway.

The current Preisdent, Ilham Aliyev, has been leading the country since 2003 after having been reconfirmed President in 2008.

In today’s presidential election, 10 candidates contested, including Mr Aliyev.

A few hours ago, the Speaker presented his report related to the supervision and monitoring of the election to the President of the European Academy for Election observation (EUAC).
