Former Nationalist Party mayor Robert Musumeci will be among five presenters of a Nationalist Party activity that will be held on Saturday morning to discuss the way forward on local councils.

Mr Musumeci had fallen out with the Nationalist Party and admitted that he was part of the ‘Malta Taghna Lkoll’ movement that Labour leader Joseph Muscat had formed in the run-up to the last election. In recent posts on Facebook, he defended the citizenship scheme as proposed by the Labour government.

Mr Musumeci, who had served as Siggiewi mayor, used to present a weekly programme on current affairs on the Labour Party’s national TV station before the election.

On Saturday he will be part of a team of five presenters who will lead discussions on local councils. The others are four journalists representing the independent media and the national TV station.
