This exclusive, rare photograph shows former Prime Minister Dom Mintoff working on a personal computer at his Tarxien home in 1994, while writing one of his many articles for The Malta Independent on Sunday. Mr Mintoff will always be remembered for having opposed the introduction of personal computers to Malta, in the belief that the use of computers would result in job losses.  In fact, he had banned them during his tenure as Prime Minister. The photograph was taken by one of his close admirers who visited his home regularly, and was made available for inclusion in a publication carrying a selection of Mr Mintoff’s articles written for this newspaper.
