The Labour Party today insisted that was never given a donation by George Farrugia.  In a statement the party said that the car was bought through a barter agreement by One Productions – the PL’s media house.

Furthermore the car was not given to the PL as the same time Tonio Fenech was given a clock because JF Motors Ltd (a subsidiary of John’s Group) was a Daewoo agent between 1998 and 2003.

The PL said that George Farrugia was given a Presidential pardon to say the whole truth, byt in this case he did not say the truth.

“The oil scandal left the PN and a number of its exponents with oil on their hands. No lie will take away their role in the biggest corruption scandal this country has ever seen. The Opposition and Simon Busuttil cannot remain silent on what is being revealed in the PAC sittings. The political responsibility should be shouldered.”
