Official opening of University of Malta Psychology Laboratory

Professor Juanito Camilleri, rector of the University of Malta, has opened the Psychology Laboratory in the Department of Psychology, Faculty for Social Wellbeing on 25 November. 

The laboratory, which is housed in the Old Humanities Building, has various facilities and equipment for undertaking research with children and adults, by both staff and students. Among others, it includes facilities for direct observation of children and adults, visual and auditory recording of behaviour, equipment for transcription of data, hardware and software for quantitative and qualitative analysis of data, eye-tracking facilities in collaboration with the Cognitive Neuroscience Department, psychology tests for data collection and clinical work, as well as reference books, psychology dissertations, journals and DVDs.

The lab will also be hosting a number of seminars in the coming weeks, including one on the role of religious belief in coping with illness on 17 December at 1pm
