The saga of crucified animals found in the Mosta area continued this morning when a dog and a cat were discovered crucified. The cat was found attached to the statute of St Philip outside the Mosta Rotunda while the dog was found nailed nearby.
Usually, such incidents were happening on the 16th day of the month and only cats had been involved. This time, the date has changed and a dog was also added to the list.
The Mosta church opens for the first mass at 5.30am and the area is surrounded by cafeterias and bars some of which have CCTV cameras, which the police are believed to be using to try to find out more information.
It is believed that in the past the police have already question one person who lives in Mosta in connection with the incidents.
Magistrate Carol Peralta is conducting an inquiry.
