Heritage International Fund Managers (Malta) Limited has chosen to set up its offices at SmartCity Malta. The company forms part of the Heritage Group, a leading independent provider of fund administration, financial services and specialist insurance, to corporate and private clients across the globe.

Heritage is a group of companies, leading in their own fields, offering a range of specialist financial services through international finance centres. They operate in global markets acting for clients from around the world whilst also taking a local view, working with local regulators and the financial community where they are based. The Group employsaround 200 staff members across offices in GuernseyLondonMalta and Gibraltar.

Speaking about the reasons why Heritage decided to relocate to Malta, MrNicholas Warren, Head of Office in Malta, said: “As a further development phase of our operations in Guernsey as well as opportunities driven by a changing regulatory environment, including the EU Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, Malta is deemed as an alternative jurisdiction from which to operate and provide growth to the Group. The capability to access the wider European market place with funds domiciled in the EU in the private equity and property sectors, provides another opportunity for Heritage International Fund Managers (Malta) Limited to further expand its fund administration capability.”

“Heritage International Fund Managers (Malta) Limited has chosen SmartCity Malta as the location to house its operations, primarily as it provides a modern purpose built office working environment. It has excellent business continuity capabilities, has taken into consideration environmental aspects and provides an ideal mix of work and leisure facilities,” Mr Warren concluded.
