The convicted murderer who sparked the largest man-hunt in Malta’s criminal history passed away today.

Cikku Fenech, 74, of Mosta and who was also known as Ta’ Vangiela, had given himself up to police in after having killed Cikku Vella on 13 January 1963.

Described as a dedicated farmer, had been involved in various cases, including a case where he had shot at another person in self-defence.

A book, authored by Paul P. Borg, entitled ‘Cikku Fenech, il-Qtil, il-Harba, il-Bidwi’, gives a detailed look at Cikku Fenech’s life.
