A man was acquitted by a court today after a sachet containing what was believed to be cocaine turned out to be paracetamol.
Scott Dixon, a boxer, was accused of being of possession of cocaine in St Julian's two years ago.
Court-appointed expert Godwin Scerri testified that the sachet contained paracetamol.
He was therefore acquitted.
Mr Dixon is undergoing proceedings for allegedly conspiring to traffic half a ton of cannabis and being in possession of the drug between June and September 2009. He is pleading not guilty.
