Virtu Ferries has announced a new bus service linking the cities of Agrigento and Gela with Pozzallo, thus opening up an area of Sicily that found it difficult to travel to Pozzallo and from there to Malta.

Virtu Ferries has been operating fast catamarans between Malta and Sicily for 25 years.

The new service will come in operation as from 30 April leaving Gela at 3pm and Pozzallo at 7.30pm. The return service will be operated on 4 May arriving at Agrigento at 11.45pm.

The service will also operate between 17 July and 24 August offering either a weekend four-day stay in Malta or weekly stays from Sunday to Sunday.
