The Union Haddiema Maghqudin has ordered Mater Dei Hospital’s dental surgery assistants not to make use of any communication devices related to work, including telephones and e-mails as from Monday.
The action follows a meeting held earlier this week between the union and the management, which according to the union the management is not open to discuss the union’s proposals.
The UHM had been given the sole recognition of the Dental Surgery Assistants (DSAs) who work the government. The DSAs assist the dental surgeons during check-ups and surgeries and therefore their role is a major one in the delivery of the service to the clients at Mater Dei Hospital.
