Franco Debono said that he has been offered to renew his contract as Commissioner of Laws but until today he has not yet signed it.

Dr Debono was contacted by The Malta Independent after blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia wrote on her website that he is no longer holding the post that he was given after the election by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

Justice Minister Owen Bonnici confirmed that the government had offered the contract to Dr Debono and that it will be signed in the coming days.

“There are absolutely no issues between the government and Dr Debono,” Dr Bonnici said.
