A 20-year-old man was grievously injured this morning when the car he was driving skidded into a field in Mdina Road, Attard. The accident happened at around 6.45am, near Mount Carmen Hospital.

In the meantime, two other youths escaped unharmed when the car they were travelling in rolled over several times in Mriehel, near the water aqueducts.

The driver, a 22-year old from Rabat, lost control of his black Ford Fiesta, which ended up upside down. He was accompanied by a 20-year old man who is also from Rabat.
