Nicholas Barbara, BirdLife conservation manager, has refused to be questioned by the Police as no charges have been brought against him, BirdLife Malta said this morning.
Speaking outside the Administrative Law Enforcement (ALE) section, Mr Barbara said that this is the fourth time a member of BirdLife Malta has been called in for questioning, yet the Police have yet to issue any charges against them.
“We feel that this is very much an attempt at intimidation, so we will continue on with our work."
"In my opinion, I have done nothing illegal," Mr Barbara said.
On Saturday of BBC journalist Chris Packham was questioned for four hours after the hunting federation claimed he violated data protection laws when filming hunters at Mizieb.
