There has been an 'interesting development' regarding St Philip's Hospital, Parliamentary Secretgary Chris Fearne told Parliament this evening, without however divulging what the development was.

Mr Fearne was replying to across the House questions by PN MP Claudio Grech.

He said he had worked at St Philip's when it was still open and it was a good hospital and meshed well with Mater Dei.

This government wants to strengthen private healthcare without imposing charges on the people who use it. The governmnent would thus like to see St Philip's reopen as a private hospital.
