President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca today launched the President’s Foundation for the Good of Society, a Foundation which seeks to foster social dialogue on how to improve society.

The Foundation will actively participate in both research and “formal and informal” consultation with the public.

The Foundation will be incorporating four entities within it, namely l-Istitut Nazzjonali ghat-Tfulija, c-Centru ghar-Ricerka fuq il-Familja, l-Osservatorju ghall-Ghixien Xieraq u c-Centru ghall-Helsien mill-Vizzji.

President Coleiro Preca said that a Council of Governors made up of former Prime Ministers and President Emeriti will also be setup. The Council will function as a forum for discussion on how to better society.

President Coleiro Precai said that the Foundation will help to better the country’s democracy as each and every citizen can be active in the discussion.
