Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia this evening refused to comment on a working visit to Italy by former Police Commissioner Peter Paul Zammit.

In reply to a parliamentary question by PN MP Jason Azzopardi, Economy Minister Chris Cardona, on behalf of Minister Manuel Mallia said it is not prudent to give details on such visits because of security reasons.

In a subsequent PQ, Dr Azzopardi asked the Minister to explain why the Commissioner of Police travelled on board a private jet. Dr Chris Cardona, however, said the Home Affairs Minister had nothing to add.
