Prince George, the son of Prince William and Kate, is one year old today.
According to a list carried by the Sunday Times (UK), a gift from Malta's prime minister tops the list for extravagance in the prince's first year.
Dr Muscat is reported to have given the prince a silver breakfast set for the christening.
Nearly as extravagant is the present from Pope Francis - a precious stone globe with a cross.
President Barack Obama may have got away cheaper - he gave the prince a blanket.
Among the gifts the prince received from people from 48 countries there are:
- a hand-knitted Aston Villa scarf
- a painting made from animal droppings
- a pilot's helmet lined with possum skin
- a box of baby clothes and nappy-rash cream from the Finnish government
- a blue tricycle from Boris Johnson, the mayor of London
- a silver cup from the Royal Navy
- a merino wool shawl from New Zealand
- a blue and white baby suit with tie from Israel
- a surf board
- a miniature cricket bat from the ICC
- adopted animals include three meerkats from Dudley and West Midlands Zoo called George, Alexander and Louis (the prince's names)
