Joseph Muscat meets Prince Charles

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat today met Prince Charles at Dumfries House in Scotland, along with several leaders of Commonwealth small island states.

The Prince held a meeting with the small island leaders focused on building sustainable and reliable island economies.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat chaired the conference and also had a 40 minute audience with the Prince, however due to Royal Household protocol; what was discussed in the meetings could not be given.

No members from the Maltese media delegation were allowed to be present as the requests made were rejected by the Royal household.

Dr Muscat has been in the UK since Monday, holding several meetings with Commonwealth leaders as well as attending the Commonwealth Games Business Conference up in Glasgow.

He has given two speeches, one at the London School of Economics and another in Glasgow, both relating to the need for change in the Commonwealth.

The Maltese Prime Minister is now on his way back to Malta.
