MEPA lawyer Robert Abela can no longer represent Air Malta pilots having recently been employed by the national airliner as their lawyer.

In the past, Dr Abela has represented members of ALPA, the Airline Pilots Associations, in their disputes with Air Malta.

“It is Air Malta standard policy that any legal consultant engaged by it is required not to represent any person (including Company employees) in any action or litigation against the Company,” an AirMalta spokesman said.
