A helicopter carrying a sick person from Gozo to Mater Dei Hospital had to return back to Gozo because it could not land at the St Luke's Hospital helipad (which is being used for patients being taken to Mater Dei) because a car was parked on it.

This happened on Saturday evening, said a government statement.

The car was later taken away and the helicopter and the patient returned later.
