After two consecutive defeats in their opening matches, First Division champions Pieta managed to obtain their first point of the season after a scorless draw against Tarxien.

Tarxien Rainbows are still unbeaten but still in search of their first win of the season following their draws against Sliema Wanderers and against champions Valletta.

Pieta coach Noel Coleiro made only one change in his starting line up introducing Refalo instead of Terence Vella. Tarxien coach Clive Mizzi made use of new signing Sean Cini in goal.

The match was very interesting with both sides having their fair of scoring chances, but the defences stood out, and the point earned by both sides was a deserved one after the final whistle.
