According to Eurostat statistics published today, Malta registered the highest rate in economic growth across EU member states in the second quarter of the year when economic growth increased by 1.3% from the first quarter.

In a press release, the government said that such statistics confirm the government’s success in various economic sectors, including work creation, investment and commerce. Furthermore, it shows that concrete budget measures are reaching their intended results.

The government concluded that it is determined to continue in the right direction through initiatives planned for the 2015 budget.
