Man handed suspended sentence for falsifying visa stamp on his passport

A 22-year-old Serbian man was today handed a seven-month jail term suspended for 18 month by Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera after admitting to falsifying stamps on his passport in order to extend his stay in Malta.

Krstic Nenad was here in Malta on a three month visa yet managed to extend his stay by falsifying the visa stamp.

Inspector Frankie Sammut prosecuted and lawyer Arthur Azzopardi appeared for the accused.
