Malta’s allocation from the European Regional Fund for the Italy-Malta programme 2014-2020 will be increased by €14 million when compared to the allocation between 2007 and 2013, Parliamentary Secretary Ian Borg said today.

The government has decided to increase the allocation from €30 to €44 million, a 45% increase, he said during a seminar as part of the BioDivalue project that benefited from €2.7m in the last seven years.

Malta’s objectives for the seven years starting this year are being discussed with Italy and will be submitted for approval from the European Commission at the end of this month.
