The Energy Ministry published the letter which was referred to in the parliamentary sitting by Minister Konrad Mizzi. The letter, the ministry said, is in connection with a contract given by the previous administration with a high feed-in tariff for a total value of €35 million for a period of 25 years.

The contract, the ministry said, is for the installation of photo-voltaic panels on public buildings on which a feed-in tariff of €0.23 had to be paid when this should have been €0.16.

The letter, the ministry said, was issued by Bancaja Bank which is giving notice that Solarig and its subsidiary companies had enough liquidity to enable it to take the contract. This letter does not include a signature, the ministry said.
