Two women are in danger of dying following a traffic accident in Triq Zebbiegh, Mgarr.

The accident happened at around 3:30pm, and involved a Toyota Vitz, driven by a 44-year-old woman and a Hyundai Atos, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Birkirkara.

Two ambulances were dispatched on the scene.

The road was temporarily closed.
