The winner of this year's Eurovision Song Contest Conchita Wurst will be the main guest for the contest that will determine Malta's participation at next year's event, it was announced last night.

Wurst, who won win the song Rise like a Pheonix, will be attending the event that will take place on 22 November.

It will be the first time that the Malta event will take place at this time of the year. Normally, it takes place in February.
