A man who went for a Chinese massage in Bugibba got more than he bargained for as he claims the female masseuse sexually assaulted him.

On walking into the parlour, Telly Bartolo was told that the massage would last one hour and cost €30.

"If you want more you can pay tips," he was told, before being led down into a dark room.

Mr Bartolo, who is gay, was told to take off his clothes by a Chinese woman dressed in just a bra.

"I just want a massage," Mr Bartolo told the woman, who replied that her lack of knickers was down to the heat.

Mr Bartolo duly lay face down on the massage table and enjoyed "a nice massage."

"Close to the end of the massage she started rubbing her long hair and her body on my back. After a few seconds she started singing and grabbed my privates, saying 'massage, massage' in her Chinese accent. At this point I was in shock and completely froze," he told The Malta Independent.

Mr Bartolo said at this point he got off the massage table, paid €30 and left.

Asked if he has reported the incident to the police, Mr Bartolo said he does not want to get into any hassles and will just take what happened as an experience.

He said that as a gay man he was not affected by the woman's unwelcome advances.

"But if a married person goes there for a massage, he may give into temptation," he said.
